How I’d staff it

Plug empty jobs first. Levels and food can wait until nothing’s blank.

  1. Kill the orange tiles

Those jobs have nobody. Add the suggested Pal or breed one. No Kindling or Transporting and the base just sits there.

  2. Multi-skill while slots are tight

Someone with Handiwork, Mining, and Transporting covers a lot before you have 20 bodies.

  3. Keep one awake at night

Zero nocturnal means the camp sleeps with you. One night Pal usually fixes it.

FAQ

Is this updated for Palworld 1.0?

Yes. Work levels and food come from the 1.0 files (dataset v26, checked 2026-07-15): 299 Pals, all 12 jobs.

How many workers can I add?

The planner stops at 20, same ceiling most servers use for BaseCampWorkerMaxNum. Bump that in the server settings tool if you run a higher cap in-game.

What counts as a covered job?

Any job where at least one crew member has a level. Empty tiles get suggestions sorted by that job’s level. Raising Lv 1 → Lv 4 is a separate problem once the holes are gone.

Do I need nocturnal Pals?

If nobody is nocturnal, the base mostly naps when you do. One night worker is usually enough to keep Kindling and Transporting moving.

Multi-skill or specialists?

Early game, multi-skill wins: one Pal covering Handiwork + Mining + Transporting frees slots. Later you’ll swap in higher single-job levels.

How do I get a suggested worker?

Click Add on the suggestion to put them on the crew, or Breed for their breeding page. Reverse lookup on the breeding calculator helps if you already own parents.
