Aan de slag met je RuneScape: Dragonwilds-server
Your RuneScape: Dragonwilds server is managed in the Blacksmith Portal. Jagex will not list the world cleanly until Owner ID, Server Name, Default World Name, and Admin Password are set. Players then join from the in-game Public tab by searching the world the server is actually running.
Stop the server before you change dedicated-server settings. Edits made while it is running are discarded on the next save.
First boot
Section titled “First boot”- Open the Blacksmith Portal and select your Dragonwilds server
- Click Stop on
Consoleif the process is running - Copy your in-game Player ID and set it as the Owner ID
- Set Server Name, Default World Name, and Admin Password. Leave World Password empty for a public world
- On
Startup, leave Check For Updates enabled so SteamCMD can pull Jagex patches on boot - Start the server and wait until
Consolefinishes loading the world - Join from the Public list using the exact world name, not the panel hostname
Most of those values live on Startup. You can confirm or edit the same fields in Files → Config Files on DedicatedServer.ini. Full editor steps: How do I Edit My Servers Config Files.
What to set
Section titled “What to set”| Setting | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| Owner ID | Yes | Your in-game Player ID. The owner can ban and unban online or offline players. |
| Server Name | Yes | Label for the dedicated server. This is not the string you search in Public. |
| Default World Name | Yes | Name used when the server creates a new world. Existing .sav files keep their own name. |
| Admin Password | Yes | Lets anyone who knows it open Server Management in-game. Do not reuse the world password. |
| World Password | No | Leave empty for public. Set a value to keep the world private. |
The dedicated server loads the newest .sav in RSDragonwilds/Saved/SaveGames (sometimes shown as Savegames). Changing Default World Name does not retarget an existing save. See upload or reset a world.
After you can join
Section titled “After you can join”- Kick or ban players from the in-game Server tab. There is no panel console command for this.
- Take a backup before you replace saves, wipe worlds, or apply a large patch. Use
Backupsin the panel, and optionally a backup schedule. KeepSaveGamesplusDedicatedServer.ini. - After a Jagex client update, restart with Check For Updates on. If the Public list still hides the world, follow How to Update Steam Based Servers (including deleting
steamappsto force SteamCMD validation). - Move large
.savfiles with SFTP if the browser uploader fails.
AleForge does not bill by player slots. The Dragonwilds dedicated server still caps players in the game engine (6 as of patch 0.11).
