RuneScape: Dragonwilds-Server beitreten

Players join an AleForge RuneScape: Dragonwilds server from the in-game Public tab. Search the exact, case-sensitive name of the world the dedicated server is running. That name comes from the loaded .sav file. It is not Server Name, and it is not the hostname or port on the panel dashboard.

Achtung

Set Owner ID, Server Name, Default World Name, and Admin Password before you hunt the list. Empty required fields keep the world from listing.

Join from the Public tab

1. Confirm the server is running in the Blacksmith Portal Console
2. Note the world name the process loaded. For a brand-new world that is Default World Name. After you upload a save, it is the .sav filename without the extension
3. Launch RuneScape: Dragonwilds
4. Open the Worlds screen and select the Public tab
5. Search that exact world name. Capitalization must match
6. Wait a few seconds for the list to refresh, then enter the world
7. If you set a world password, type it when prompted. That is not the admin password

Steam invites do not connect to dedicated servers. Share the world name (and world password, if any) with your group instead.

Server not on the Public list

Work through these in order.

1. You searched the wrong string

Server Name is a label. Public search uses the loaded world. If the newest file in RSDragonwilds/Saved/SaveGames is AshenVale.sav, search AshenVale, not the Server Name and not AshenVale.sav.

2. Required settings are empty

Stop the server, then confirm Owner ID, Server Name, Default World Name, and Admin Password are set on Startup or in Files → Config Files → DedicatedServer.ini. Start again. See getting started.

3. Client and server versions do not match

After a Jagex patch or hotfix the world disappears until both sides are on the same build.

1. In the client, read the version in the top-left corner
2. On the server, open Files and read RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/RSDragonwilds.log. The dedicated-server version is at the top
3. Stop the server. On Startup, keep Check For Updates enabled
4. Start the server so SteamCMD can pull the new dedicated-server build
5. If it still looks stuck, follow How to Update Steam Based Servers, including deleting steamapps to force validation

4. The search is not an exact match

Try the name again with the same spacing and capitalization. Do not add extra words from Server Name.

5. The world is listed but will not join

That is usually a version mismatch or the world password. On AleForge you do not port-forward a home router to fix this.

Can I connect with the IP and port from the dashboard?

No. Use the Public tab and the loaded world name.

Where do I confirm which world is running?

Check Console after boot, or look at the newest .sav in RSDragonwilds/Saved/SaveGames. Logs are in RSDragonwilds/Saved/Logs/RSDragonwilds.log.

Does a world password hide the server from Public?

No. A world password still lists the world. Players need the password to enter. Leave World Password empty if you want anyone to join.
