Avorion Server Not Showing or Unable to Connect
If your Avorion server does not appear in the browser or players cannot join, work through these checks.
Server Not Showing in the Browser
Section titled “Server Not Showing in the Browser”- Confirm the server is running — Open
Consolein the AleForge Panel and verify the server finished starting without errors - Set a unique server name — Go to
Startup, setServer Nameto something distinctive, then restart - Enable listing — On
Startup, make sureListedandPublicare enabled so the server can appear in the browser - Wait and refresh — After restart, wait a minute, then click
Refreshin the Avorion server browser - Search by name — Click
Change Filtersand search for your exactServer Name - Try Steam favorites — Add the server in Steam under
View→Game Servers, then join from theFavoritestab in Avorion. See How do I connect to my Avorion Server?
Unable to Connect After Finding the Server
Section titled “Unable to Connect After Finding the Server”- Password — If you set a server password on
Startup, enter it when joining - Mods — Clients must download the same Workshop mods as the server. Check
modconfig.luaand restart after changes. See Install Mods - Version mismatch — Update your server with How to Update Your Avorion Server, then update the game client in Steam
