PayPal Subscription Cancellation
When you cancel our service and have a PayPal subscription or automatic payment set up, sometimes the subscriptions are not canceled when we send the request to PayPal. To ensure you are not paying for services you are not using, please check and confirm your subscriptions are canceled.
Older/Classic PayPal website
Section titled “Older/Classic PayPal website”- Log in to your PayPal account.
- Click Profile at the top of the page.
- Click My Money and Update beside My Preapproved Payments to find your payment.
Select the payment, and then click Cancel.
New PayPal website
Section titled “New PayPal website”- Log into your PayPal account
- Click the Settings icon in the top right of the page (gear symbol)
- Click the Payments tab at the top of the page
- Click the Manage Pre-Approved Payments option
- Select the payment for AleForge under the Merchant column, and then click Cancel.
AleForge provides the best effort for setting up and canceling a customer’s PayPal subscriptions, it is ultimately the customer’s responsibility to ensure that only one subscription is created per order and if a subscription is created, that the PayPal Subscription associated with the order is canceled when the customer is done using AleForge’s services. Payments sent from a PayPal Subscription in error or for a canceled order will be credited to the customer’s account as an account credit and is non-refundable.
Duplicate subscriptions or charged with no server
Section titled “Duplicate subscriptions or charged with no server”Sometimes PayPal keeps more than one AleForge subscription, or keeps billing after the server is gone.
- In PayPal, open Manage Pre-Approved Payments / subscriptions (steps above)
- Cancel every extra AleForge subscription you do not want
- Confirm only one active subscription remains for a service you still use
- Contact support for refunds or leftover balances
PayPal may lock some balances after disputes or refunds. Include your invoice numbers and what you already canceled in PayPal.
