How do I change the Creative Mode Settings on my Craftopia Server?

Craftopia lets you customize your Creative Mode experience in many different ways. You can make crafting free, turn off damage and hunger, lock the time of day, and more. This guide shows you where to find these settings and what each one does.

Tip: Always stop your server before editing configuration files. Changes made while the server is running may not apply or may be overwritten.

  1. Go to the AleForge Panel and select your Craftopia server.
  2. Stop your server.
  3. Open the Files tab.
  4. Click on Server Settings.ini.
  5. Look for the [CreativeMode Settings] section.
  6. Change the settings to what you need for your server (see the table below).
  7. Save the file, then start your server and enjoy your customizations.

Settings that use 1 or 0 work as on/off switches: 1 means true (on) and 0 means false (off).

Name Values Description
quickCraft 1 (true), 0 (false) Craft items without checking the item cost.
ageLevel Any integer Age level of the game world. Affects the crafting recipes.
islandLevel Any integer Island level override. Affects monster and dungeon level. Set to -1 to disable the override.
noDeath 1 (true), 0 (false) The player character cannot die.
noDamage 1 (true), 0 (false) The player character will not take damage.
noHunger 1 (true), 0 (false) The player character will not get hungry.
infiniteStamina 1 (true), 0 (false) The player character has infinite stamina.
forceDayTime 0 to 24 Overrides the game world’s time of day. Set to -1 to disable.
buildingIgnoreDamage 1 (true), 0 (false) Buildings do not take damage.
noBuild 1 (true), 0 (false) Players cannot place new buildings.

Here is an example of what the section could look like with a few settings changed:

[CreativeMode Settings]
quickCraft=1
noHunger=1
infiniteStamina=1
forceDayTime=12
noBuild=0

This is an example only. Your file may contain more settings, and the exact layout may differ. Edit the values that are already in your file.

Problem What to try
Changes didn’t apply Make sure the server was fully stopped before editing, then start it again after saving.
Server won’t start after editing Check that you used only valid values, such as 1 or 0 for on/off settings.
Time of day won’t change forceDayTime locks the time. Set it to -1 to turn the override off.
