How to Enable Cheat Mode on Your 7 Days to Die Server
“Cheat mode” usually means one of two things: a creative server where players fly and spawn items, or a survival server where admins use debug commands. Pick the style you want.
Creative-style sandbox
Section titled “Creative-style sandbox”The cleanest approach is a sandbox code with creative rules:
- In single-player, open
New Game→Sandbox Options - Set player mode to creative (or tune cheat-related options)
- Copy the sandbox code
- On the AleForge Panel, stop the server
- Paste the code into
Sandbox CodeonStartup - Set a new World Name and restart
See Sandbox settings for details.
Survival server with admin cheats
Section titled “Survival server with admin cheats”Admins with permission level 0 can use debug commands in-game (F1 console) on most servers:
- Add yourself as admin — Create an admin
- Join the server and press
F1 - Run commands like
cm(creative mode toggle for admins),give, ortele
Command list: Console Commands.
Game Mode on Startup
Section titled “Game Mode on Startup”Game Mode on Startup controls the base ruleset (survival vs creative). Changing it on an existing world can cause issues — use a new world name when switching modes.
EAC note
Section titled “EAC note”Creative and heavily modded servers often run with EAC disabled. Crossplay requires EAC on, so cheat-heavy servers are usually PC-only direct connect.
