What Happens When My Game Server Credit Runs Out?

We want to ensure you never accidentally lose your game world. AleForge automatically emails you when your account has approximately 24 hours of credit remaining based on your current limits, and sends a final warning when you have about 8 hours left. These notifications are purely informational heads-ups, not invoices.

Once your credit reaches exactly $0, your pay-as-you-go server will continue running as a courtesy for 2 hours. After this 2-hour window, the server automatically suspends.

While a server is suspended, you cannot start it or download your files. However, your data is securely preserved because disk usage continues to bill during this suspension period to ensure your world is not dropped.

To bring your server back online, simply add credit. As soon as your remaining credit registers above $0, the server will unsuspended and come back online automatically, usually within a few minutes. If your server remains suspended 15 minutes after depositing funds, please contact our support team.

If a server remains in a suspended state for 7 consecutive days and your remaining credit is still at $0, the server is permanently deleted. All files associated with the server will be destroyed and cannot be recovered. You must add credit before this 7-day deadline if you wish to retain your world data.

Note: This lifecycle is strictly for pay-as-you-go plans. Standard monthly invoice due dates and the traditional 32-day termination window are detailed separately in Suspensions and Terminations.
