How do I configure the whitelist on my Vintage Story server?

Use the whitelist when you want an invite-only server. Turn the mode on from Startup, then add players from the console.

Enable or disable the whitelist (Startup)

1. Open the Blacksmith’s Portal and select your Vintage Story server
2. Stop the server
3. Go to Startup
4. Set [ADMIN] Whitelist Mode to:
   • 1 to enable the whitelist
   • 0 to disable it
5. Start the server

This Startup value is written into data/serverconfig.json on each start.

Add or remove players

With the server running, open Console and use:

Command	Description
/player PlayerName whitelist on	Adds the player to the whitelist
/player PlayerName whitelist off	Removes the player from the whitelist

Replace PlayerName with the exact in-game name.

Tips

• Whitelist players before enabling the mode if you are already playing on the server
