How do I kick or ban players on my Vintage Story server?

Use kick and ban commands to moderate your Vintage Story server. You can run these from the Blacksmith’s Portal console, or in-game if you are an admin.

Kick or ban a player

1. Open the Blacksmith’s Portal and select your Vintage Story server
2. Go to Console
3. Run one of the commands below

Command	Description	Example
/kick PlayerName [Reason]	Removes the player from the server. Reason is optional.	/kick Steve Griefing
/ban PlayerName [Timespan] [Reason]	Blocks the player for the given timespan (hour, day, week, year).	/ban Steve 1 week Uninvited
/unban PlayerName	Removes the player from the ban list.	/unban Steve

Tips

• Exact player names matter; check connected players with /list clients
• For private communities, prefer a password or whitelist so you need bans less often
• Review active bans with /list banned
