Return to Moria: Change password

Adding a password to your Return to Moria server controls who can join, keeping griefers out and your dwarven expedition private.

Changing the password on your Return to Moria server

Using Blacksmith’s Portal

1. Open the Blacksmith’s Portal
2. Stop your server
3. Go to Startup
4. Find the Server Password field and enter your desired password
5. Start your server

Players connecting through Advanced Join Options will be prompted for this password when joining.

Self-Hosting/Other Providers

1. Stop your Return to Moria server
2. Open MoriaServerConfig.ini in your server directory
3. Under [Server], set Password= to your desired password
4. Save the file and restart the server

To remove the password, clear the Server Password field in Startup (or leave Password= empty in the config file) and restart the server.
