How do I connect to my Avorion Server?

Setting up your AleForge Avorion server for players to join is easy.

Connect Through the Server Browser

1. Open the AleForge Panel
2. Click Startup
3. Change the server name to something unique. This is the name that appears in the server browser.
4. Open the Console page and restart the server
5. Launch Avorion
6. Click Multiplayer, then Browse Servers
7. Click Change Filters next to Refresh
8. Type your server name into the search bar
9. Select your server and click Join
10. If you set a server password, enter it when prompted

To find the server faster later, right-click your server name in the list and add it to favorites.

Add the Server to Steam Favorites

You can also connect through Steam before launching Avorion:

1. Open Steam and click View → Game Servers
2. Go to the Favorites tab and click Add a server
3. Enter your server IP, a colon, and the query port (for example, 203.0.113.10:27000)
4. Click Find games at this address, then add the server to favorites
5. In Avorion, open Multiplayer → Browse Servers → Favorites
6. Select your server and click Join

Joining Via IP in Avorion

Joining via IP address in the Avorion client requires the Dedicated IP addon for your server. Once purchased and deployed, enter the IP address and port to connect. You can order a dedicated IP when ordering your Avorion server in the AleForge billing site.
