How to Upload Your Enshrouded World

You can upload a local Enshrouded world to your AleForge dedicated server. Character progress stays on each player’s client; the server holds the world.

Typical Steam path:

Steam/userdata/<YOUR_STEAM_ID>/1203620/remote/

Worlds use fixed hex names. Slot 1 is usually 3ad85aea. Sort by date modified if you have more than one.

Copy the world file set (main file plus any _info / -index companions) to a backup folder on your computer.

Official save locations: Keen Games Save Game Management

The dedicated server loads slot 1 from the savegame folder. That file must be named 3ad85aea.

  1. Go to the AleForge Panel
  2. Stop the server
  3. Open Filessavegame
  4. Download or rename the existing 3ad85aea files if you want a backup of the current server world
  5. Upload your local world files into savegame
  6. If your world was not already slot 1, rename the uploaded files to 3ad85aea (keep any suffixes such as -index)
  7. Start the server

For large uploads, zip first or use SFTP. See large File Manager uploads.

  • The file must be named exactly 3ad85aea (no extra extension)
  • It must sit directly in savegame, not inside another folder
  • Stop the server before replacing files
