How to Migrate Palworld Co-op or Single-Player to Dedicated

Local co-op and single-player saves are not drop-in compatible with dedicated servers. Convert the host save first, then upload it.

  1. Open the Palworld Save Converter
  2. Convert the host character / world as the tool instructs (guest co-op characters are not the right source for a dedicated host save)
  3. Download the converted files and keep a zip of them as a backup

If the converter fails or the host player ID looks wrong, stop and contact support with your server ID before overwriting anything on the panel.

Follow the full file paths and DedicatedServerName steps here:

How To Upload Your Palworld World

Short version:

  1. Stop the server after it has generated a save folder once
  2. Zip your converted world folder if it is large
  3. Upload under Pal/Saved/SaveGames/0/ (use SFTP for big files)
  4. Unarchive the zip on the panel if needed
  5. Point DedicatedServerName in GameUserSettings.ini at your world folder UUID
  6. Start the server

A new world folder is often written only after someone connects.

  1. Start the server
  2. Join once
  3. On Console, type save and press Enter

If Files has no game install at all, use Settings → Reinstall Server, then restore or re-upload your world. See Server will not start: empty Files.
