How to Add Sub Users (Contacts)

You can invite other people to your billing account as their own individual user and control exactly what they can access. This is how you add authorized delegates who can submit support tickets, manage services, or help with billing.

Only the account owner can invite users and change permissions.

  1. Log in to the AleForge Client Area.
  2. Click your name in the top-right corner, then select User Management.
  3. Under Invite New User, enter the email address for the person you want to add.
  4. Choose how much access they should have:
    • All Permissions: grants every permission available on the account.
    • Choose Permissions: lets you select only the permissions they need.
  5. Click Send Invite.

The invitee receives an email with a one-time link. They must accept the invitation and complete their own individual user login. Invitations expire after 7 days.

If the email address already belongs to an existing user, they can accept the invite with their existing login. If not, they will create a new user account during the invitation process.

To allow a delegate to request AleForge support on your billing account, they need the View & Open Support Tickets permission.

When inviting a new user:

  1. Select Choose Permissions instead of All Permissions.
  2. Enable View & Open Support Tickets.
  3. Add any other permissions they need for their role.
  4. Click Send Invite.

To update permissions for an existing user:

  1. Go to User Management.
  2. Find the user in the list.
  3. Click Manage Permissions.
  4. Enable or disable the permissions you want, including View & Open Support Tickets if they should request support.
  5. Click Save Changes.

Without View & Open Support Tickets, that user cannot open or reply to support tickets for the billing account. See the AleForge Support Policy for who is eligible to receive support.

When using Choose Permissions, you can grant access individually. Common permissions include:
